In today's discussion let us look at Oracle Celebrate. what it is and how we can configure it in simple ways in Oracle HCM Fusion Cloud Application.
Oracle Celebrate fosters a culture of appreciation by allowing employees to acknowledge and celebrate each other’s accomplishments.
• Develop recognition initiatives aligned with your organization’s core values.
• Allow team members to engage in these initiatives by awarding points, sharing public congratulatory messages, and interacting with them directly through their dashboards.
Let us go through the configuration steps
Step 1: assigning the right roles and privileges
Administrators will require Workforce Recognition and Award Program Administrator (ORA_CEL_WORKFORCE_RECOGNITION_AND_AWARD_PROGRAM_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB)
role to access Global settings and Programs features
Employee will require EMPLOYEE (ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT) role and following set of privileges

Once the appropriate roles and privileges are given, now the administrator can proceed with configuration
Step2: Configure Global Settings
You can customize reward points, core values, and images for your programs. The settings and rules you establish here will be applied across all recognition & award programs
Navigate to My Client Groups→ show more→ celebrate→ Configure Global
Settings
You can set if your program can redeem cash and what is the currency type.
Also, you can set the rewards points given to employees to recognize their
colleagues
When Points to cash is chosen, we need to select payroll element. Here we
need to have created supplemental payroll element and set it as nonrecurring
then only when the element entries are created it will have an end date
Go to payroll --> elements and create a new element under your LDG and also create element eligibility to make it available in celebrate
We need to provide company core values by clicking on add core values so that it can be chosen in the
program creation also there are some delivered program images, and we can
also upload our custom ones by clicking on add program images. The one's that are required we need to check the check box
and save
Step3: Configure Programs
A recognition or award program allows employees to acknowledge and celebrate their coworkers' efforts and accomplishments.
Navigate to my client groups→ show more→ celebrate→ Configure
Programs→ Add programs
Under add program we can either choose to create Recognition or Award
Let us first take a look at creating Recognition
You can give a name and start and end date and also description
As you can see in the image above, we have list of core values which we configured in global settings. from here we can choose the one which is relevant to the program same goes to program images.
We can also set the award to be available in quick recognition.
we can set owners for the recognition program and also set eligibility criteria and mark it as required.
and save. Only core values and Program Image is mandatory.
Now Lets see Award Program
We have two categories Spot and work anniversary. we can choose the one we need
If we choose reward points then we can have fixed or enterable points.
If we choose cash then payroll element will be mandatory
As mentioned earlier we need to have a supplemental element configure to the LDG in use.
rest of the features same as recognition program.
Note: sometimes the payroll element or any of the field values are not available then do have your browser cache cleared, logout and login or maybe use private window. this will help in resolving the issues most of the time.
Now you can go and award recognition to employees and view the dashboard as manager. Recognition and Awards are available in Touchpoints page as well.
We have one more option as Run the batch Process
My Client Groups→ Show more…→ Celebrate→ Run batch processes
You can choose generate award elements entries to create element entries for employees who have been awarded cash award.
you will be required to choose the payroll element and click on the run. you can also have a trial run before having the actual run.
For work Anniversary first we generate the awards using 'Generate Event driven awards' next we publish the awards using 'Publish Event driven awards' and finally we notify users using 'Notify Service Awards' process.
